Growing Pains

My knees hurt from forming life.  I'm starting with nothing but a few little seeds, a touch of fertilizer, and dirty hands. I can't wait to see things grow. :)

I've never gardened before in my life.
When I was young I had to pull weeds, but since I've been in Medford we haven't really touched out yard. So the past few days I've been lovin' on it some.

So why start now?
All of my friends are out of town in California. All of them.

That and the fact that I don't want to be a writer.
Not that I have anything against authors, but the one I live with isn't the picture perfect house-wife mother that I've always wanted to be.

Up until now I haven't had someone to look to to model my future after.
All of a sudden I have 3.
The best friend's mother.
The other best friend/ boyfriend's mother.
And the cutest little ginger woman who happens to be my legitimate "mentor".

So far this year, I have felt so much love from these beautiful women, and I'm so blessed to have them in my life.

But one of them I know is quite the gardener. Last weekend by about 2pm she planted 2 trees, and about a bajillion potatoes. Not to mention lotsa other vegetables and such. Back to the point; One of the characteristics of the woman I want to be is that she gardens.

So here's my proof that I have, in fact, planted things. :D

Those first two have little baby seedies in them.

That is what it looked like before

And 10 minutes later it had no weeds or moss, and 3 Gerbera Daisies

Two daffodils welcoming a newcomer Gerbera Daisy.

A new little English Daisy watching over all my baby seeds.

Gardening, Check.

I apologise to REID GIBSON

Turned on the radio today, and immediately started crying. I bawled for a good 10 minutes after the song ended, then went to YouTube so I could cry some more. I love music.

The way music is such a universal language is fascinating to me. How one person can write something so personal to them, and have the rest of the world feel something when they hear it. How it can be transposed from a song about one thing, to a memory of another. How you can do something as simple as changing the key, and it doesn't matter what language you speak you understand that it's meant to be hopeful, or upsetting, or bitter, or "as corny as Kansas in August!!". Everyone understands, and can find peace with themselves, as well as others for four minutes. And to me, that's truly beautiful.

Sorry for the SP reference. It's been stuck in my head all day.

'Nough said.

This is why my day was cool.

The Day.

The Morning

Drove around Medford a little bit, caught up on happenings of the world (BP is burning Sea Turtles alive so the environmentalist people don't know the exact numbers of how many have died), bummed around my neighborhood for a while, then prodded my brother awake.

The Drive

Once my dearest sibling was awake, we departed. Before hitting the highway we picked up 2 very awesome people. The first was my loveable friend Shelby, followed by Jacob. Whilst Shelby and I were waiting in the stuffy car in Jacob's parking lot for Grant to return with his gingery friend we had a dance party. In the street (driveway). Without Music. And it lasted like 35 seconds. the two of us darted back into the car as the boys came out and Jacob and I were stuck in the back seat. (GINGER DISCRIMINATION!)

The Party

Only the most awesome people were invited ( like 50ish of us) and it was made of awesome.

The Cake

Cookie dough cake.
A layer of cooked, chocolate chip cookie. A layer of the dough. Then a scoop of cookie dough ice cream. Then some softer cookie dough on top of that. Cake of the gods.

The River

After eating our weight in cookie dough cake we wandered down to the river to swim (and burn homework). While everyone else was swimming across the river and jumping off of rocks, me and a few other girls sat in a shallow area and stacked up rocks into an island. We called it Little Britain.
Then one of the boys knocked it over. And the college kids in the group started throwing rocks at eachother, and they slowly started to pile up. Somewhere during all of this we got the idea to make a dam across the little 30ft wide bay of still water. It started as myself, my brother, Shelby, and Jacob. And as the afternoon progressed a few random young children showed up with their floaties and would pile up rocks and float it over to us to use on the dam.  We spent about 3 hours working on it.
The Many Names of The Dam
Dam Ginger
Medium Britain
The F-ing Dam (it was shaped like an f)
and several other things I can't remember, but I assure you, it was awesome.

Wish I could do ballet..

Monday:

For about a week now I've just been skoodilypooping around the house.
"But Why? It's summer!"
I've been sick.
"You can't be that sick, you're just being grumpy, huh?"
Don't bug me. I have an infection in my throat and am crampy with a broken toe.
"Uhm..." *leaves*

Yeah. So I think I have a reason for skoodilypooping (still don't know what it means) about my room, thank you very much. Stupid pink font....
Being sick, I don't do much cause I don't want to spread it around, and I'm tired. But I can't sleep cause it's bright outside. And I hate that I just lay here for 10 hours a day staring into space drooling (well, not really droolin'). Not to mention the fact that my dad is leaving for like a week and I'll be alone with my mom because my dearest brother leaves the house without taking me along.
But then again. I've started playing guitar, and ukulele again. Because of my abnormal sleep-age I've been able to talk to my friend in Pra(hahahahahahahaha!)gue a lot more than I have all year. I also have antibiotics now, so that's been helping.

Being mostly confined to my house I've been getting off book on Almost, Maine a lot faster than I would have otherwise.

Thursday:

Heh heh, so... I thought I posted what I wrote on Monday, but I just saved it. FAIL.

What have I been doing since then? Spending time with my best friend and her girlfriend (who will soon enough be one of my good friends) re-callusing my fingers on my guitar, and planning PARKFEST with some really cool people.
Also busted my knee the other day choreographing. It was fun, but I need to remember the brace when I'm doing anything fun. Cause that's when I forget to be careful and injure my self. AHHHHH! speak of the devil. As I was typing, the song I had been choreographing came on the radio. Good stuff...
-sigh- I should get back to my Oh So Busy life ;P
Sorry ya'll, inspiration is calling.

Why yes. I am a Nerdfighter.

Nerdfighters: People who instead of being made up of cells and organs and stuff are actually made out of awesome. They rid the world of suck and eat far too many peeps. They put happy meals in blenders and spread peanut butter on their faces. They debate whether a puppy-sized elephant, or an elephant-sized puppy would be more fun to have, and are generally made of awesome.

So therefore I, being a Nerdfighter, am also made of awesome. However, not enough people in my life are Nerdfighters so my life isn't made of awesome. Though this blog may not be only filled with the Nerdfighter-y parts of my life, I'm going to try to find the awesome in everything. I'm too much of a pessimist at the moment and am trying to fix that. And while I'm posting and reminding myself that not everything in this world is made of suck, I may use some words from the Captiadictionary...

Commylangta- the euphoric state in which a Nerdfighter can comment 5 times in one minute

Raypito- the speed at which nerd fighters comment
Brucula- vampire brussel sprouts. there can be no question that brucula are very beautiful but if you eat them you will almost die, but in the end you will live happily ever after even though the brucula are sort of emotionally abusive.
Hypocoso- an endangered and possibly mythical subspecies of ninja koala
Cootioping- knowingly transmitting cooties
Skoodilypooping- a word used by John Green's grandmother (no one's entirely sure what it means, but she uses it)
